Nathan believes that interior design is where creativity and problem-solving meet to shape experiences that leave a lasting impact. He is drawn to hospitality design and is excited to return to FRANK Architecture + Interiors in Calgary this spring. His final thesis project—a boutique hotel—has allowed him to refine his style and explore new creative horizons, solidifying his passion for designing spaces that captivate guests!
Thesis Project
Nathan’s thesis project is a boutique hotel located in the heart of SoHo, New York, situated within the historic James White Building at 361 Broadway. The hotel, 361 Broadway, is designed to offer a layered experience—one that honours the site’s industrial heritage while embracing modern sensibilities. Spatial storytelling plays a central role, with interiors that reflect both the vibrancy of the neighbourhood and the intimacy of curated guest experiences. Through materiality, scale, and program, Nathan’s design invites guests to slow down, explore, and engage with the surrounding urban fabric. This project represents the culmination of Nathan’s design education and reflects his deepening interest in creating spaces that are rooted in place, enriched by history, and crafted for human connection.
