Thesis Project

Canvas Youth Arts and Recreation Centre, Ella’s thesis project, reimagines a Geotechnical Engineering lab and office building as a dynamic, multi-use facility offering access to youth services, arts-based programming, and outdoor recreation. The design is guided by the concept of a blank canvas, creating open, adaptable spaces that respond to user input and the surrounding environment. Through bold colours, natural light, and varied layouts, the centre promotes both individual expression and social connection.
