Her work is inspired by a blend of traditional, innovative, and organic elements, seamlessly integrating cultural, natural, and contemporary aspects to foster connection and experience.
Thesis Project
Darnelle’s fourth-year project, Wisdom, optimizes space and natural light to create a versatile, welcoming environment. Inspired by nature’s organic forms and the captivating flow of theatre design, the layout naturally guides visitors through engaging spaces while promoting inclusivity, collaboration, and discovery. The design integrates multilingual collections, adaptable zones, and revenue-generating elements, enhancing accessibility and reinforcing the library’s role as a community hub.
